Identifications:
Solitary Black Caique. Little or no overlap with Scarlet-rumped Cacique; also has more extensive red on rump and lower back, base of bill often swollen, and tail has slight notch at tip.
Song:
Like Yellow-rumped Cacique but softer and without mimicry.
Call:
A harsh "chack"
